Personal information

I am currently writing my PhD at the LMU Munich. My research interests encompass consciousness (in a broad sense), pure awareness, the self, and personal identity. In addition, I study the philosophy of Chinese Huayan Buddhism. I define myself as an analytical philosopher, but I also draw insights and inspiration from various philosophical traditions and integrate them into my own thinking. I completed my first Master's degree in social sciences at the University of Glasgow, followed by a second Master's degree in Buddhist studies at the University of Hong Kong.

Before pursuing my PhD, I was an entrepreneur, running two education and cultural companies. Business practice is dynamic, as it allows me to turn my ideas into reality every day and have a tangible impact. However, during my entrepreneurial journey, I gradually realized that my passion for philosophy could not be ignored, which led me back to academic research.

I am also a long-term meditator and Hatha yoga practitioner. Sometimes, I gain intuitive insights into philosophical arguments through these practices. This is also one of the reasons I embarked on the path of philosophy—when I encountered experiences that my existing knowledge structure could not explain, I turned to philosophy for answers. Looking back now, I have no doubt that it was the right choice.
